Day 7: The Favor of God

“For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor)” - Psalm 5:12 (AMPC)

Did you know that God wants to bless you? Many people live their whole lives with a misconception of who God really is and how He thinks towards them as His children. This Scripture tells us that because we are in right standing with God, that His favor actually surrounds us everyday.

Imagine going into battle carrying a shield. A shield is an amazing tool when used correctly. It can block attacks of the enemy. As long as you keep the shield up in front of you, no weapon can harm you.

Now imagine not only one shield that protects you as you move forward, but a shield that actually surrounds your whole body. Front and back, side to side. That’s what God’s favor does in our lives. It surrounds us. God’s favor protects us in every area. It protects us as you move forward. Its protects us as you step backwards. It even covers us as we navigate life from side to side.

Today as you navigate your life, know that the favor of God is a shield surrounding you. Not only does favor defend you, it actually attracts good things. This scripture uses the words “goodwill and  pleasure.”

Because you are in right standing with God, great things are headed your way! Start, today with a victorious mindset knowing that you are surrounded, protected, and blessings are coming to you because of God’s favor on your life. His favor acts as a magnet attracting blessings to your life.

Renew your mind to the fact that God is for you. He believes in you. He wants you to succeed. His plans for your life are good!

Today’s Declaration

God, today you encompass me with favor like a shield. Everywhere I go, in everything I do, I am favored by You. I declare that, in every area of my life, I’m blessed. Today, I command the favor of God to show up in my life. I am in right standing with God and because of that, good things are coming to me.
