Day 20: Business
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” - Isaiah 48:17-19 (NKJV)
At the core of any business is the need to profit. A business who does not profit is not sustainable. According to the above scripture, God not only wants you to profit, He wants to show you HOW to profit. He is approachable, actually inviting you to ASK Him to teach you and to show you.
How do you see God? Do you see Him as the “Punisher”, someone unapproachable and to be feared? Or do you see Him as the “Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”? If you see Him as the Rewarder, you will learn an ease in your relationship with him, knowing that He wants to help you in all of your endeavors.
Develop your relationship with the written Word. The Bible reveals who God is and His ways of thinking and doing things. Key areas for your focus are the book of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the New Testament.
Develop your relationship with the Holy Spirit. God has given Him the task of “leading you into all truth and showing you things to come.” (John 16:13 NKJV) When the Father speaks to you, He will do it through the Holy Spirit, who dwells inside you.
Jesus has opened the door to my Father’s presence, and God has invited me in. He is the Creator of all things and knows how all things work. He knows me better than I know myself, and He knows exactly what I’m fitted for. I seek Him daily, asking Him to show me His methods and ways of doing things. He rewards my diligence by showing me the way I should go and the decisions I should make.
