Day 4: Believing For a Home
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” - Ephesians 2:10 (AMP)
“I have a prepared place for you”. That is what I heard after looking at the 15th house in our search for a home in New England. I was getting discouraged, everything was so pricey and so much work needed to be done to make most of the homes livable. I knew I didn’t want to live in a construction zone for years...because that is how long it would take to save the money and do the necessary work to make it “home”. When the Holy Spirit said, “I have a prepared place for you,” Ephesians 2:10 rose up in my heart.
I had immediate peace. I was doing my part, taking the paths which He had set. He moved us here. He called us to this place, and I would walk the path He had already pre-arranged and made ready. The 17th house was it - our prepared place. We walked in and knew it instantly. No construction was needed to make it “ours”. Just a few coats of paint. He is good!
Father, I thank you that I am your workmanship, created to take the paths which you have set, living the good life which you prearranged and made ready for me. I know that path includes a home, I thank you for my prepared place. Thank you for preserving it for me and leading me to it as I follow Your path. Your Word also says You give me the desires of my heart, and I desire a (insert your description of your home) home. I commit to following your path, to doing the possible and I allow you to do the impossible. Thank you for leading and guiding me, in Jesus Name, Amen!
