Day 30: Renewing the Mind

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.” - 2 Timothy 1:7 CSB

I heard these words a million times while growing up. These words came from people I loved dearly. “YOU CANNOT DO IT!” because you are too small, too skinny, too poor, people disqualified me due to my appearance. Those words were impregnated in my mind and heart and that was all that I believed and they changed me forever.

Have you ever been cut up by the words of loved ones? Those words hurt right? It fills us up with low self esteem that kills our dreams. Those words can follow us wherever we go affecting school, relationships and friendships because we don’t feel good enough.

But I’m glad God interrupted my life and placed the right people at the right time so I can do the right thing and HE CAN DO IT for you as well. He can bring the right people to cross your path that will start speaking life over you, encouraging you, reminding you that there is a purpose and calling that only YOU CAN FULFILL. This was how my journey to a renewed mind began and you can have the same freedom. (Isaiah 61:7 Instead of shame and dishonor you will enjoy a double share of honor...)

“I will lead the blind by a way they didn’t know; I will guide them for roads they haven’t gone yet. I will turn darkness to light in front of them and rough places into level ground. This is what I will do for you, and I will not abandon you.”  - Isaiah 42:16 (CSB)

Today’s Declaration

I will not allow my emotions to dictate my relationship with God. I can be overlooked or undervalued by men but God will never leave me nor forsake me. I choose to think like God thinks and I declare my mind is renewed by His forever settled Word
