Common Questions

At International Family Church all are welcome regardless of your age, economic or ethnic background. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that make up IFC.

1.  What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time we will not single you out, make you stand up in front of people or ask you to give money. We realize that many people would rather stay to themselves while they check out a church for the first time - and that’s fine with us! However, if you would like assistance with your first visit our Guest Services team is stationed throughout the parking lot to point you toward special reserved parking and in the building to help out if needed.

Our mission as a church is to help you:

  • Know God

  • Find Freedom

  • Discover Purpose

  • Make a Difference

2. What should I wear?

You’ll see everything from casual clothes to business suits at our services. Whatever makes you comfortable is alright with us. At IFC, we are more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.

3. Where are you located?

International Family Church is conveniently located ½ mile off exit 39 on route 93 in North Reading, MA. Step-by-step driving directions are available here. We're right in the middle between Boston (16 miles) and the New Hampshire border (18 miles).

4. Where do I go when I get there?

The majority of our parking and our main entrance is located at the rear of our building. This entrance leads into our first floor lobby which leads into the main auditorium. The IFC Youth auditorium for Junior and Senior High is also located on the first floor. The entrance at the front of the building leads into the second floor lobby which is where all of our Kids World classrooms and our Cafe is located. Our Guest Services team is located throughout the building to point you in the right direction if needed.

5. What’s available for my kids (ages 0-10)?

Your children are our top priority at International Family Church. All of our classrooms are clean, safe and staffed with loving workers who are required to pass national background checks. A computerized check-in system is in place to ensure the location of each child and to ensure that only you can pick them up after church has ended. Our dynamic children’s ministry, Kids World is divided into four age groups: Nursery (ages 0-2 years), Pre School (ages 3-4), Kingdom Kids (ages 5-6) and World Changers (ages 7- fifth grade). We're sure you’re children will love it!

6. What’s available for my junior high and high school age children?

Our student ministry, IFC Youth, is divided into two age groups: Junior High and Senior High. Your kids will love being in this exciting environment with other kids their age learning what a true relationship with Jesus is all about. IFC Youth is available to your students at all of our Sunday services.

7. How can I meet others and get connected?

There are several ways to get involved and meet other people. The best place to begin is our Growth Track. Life Groups are also a great way to connect. In each of these you’ll be able to grow in your faith, build friendships and learn more about IFC.

8. How can I get involved in a Life Group?

It’s easy to get started in a Life Group. Groups meet throughout the week at IFC, throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship and support. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As International Family Church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups, or find a group to visit in our directory. Check out our Life Group Finder and visit a group this week.

9. How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. The International Family Church Growth Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. You can begin the process at any step in our Growth Track.
